Frequently Asked Questions

What services does ADstudio provide?

ADstudio designs print ads, brochures, catalogs, entire publications, logos, casino graphics, trade show booths, packaging, bus wraps, photo retouching, digital illustration, websites and much more. Please take a moment to view our online portfolio for select samples of advertising design, general graphics design, logo design, digital image design and website design services.

How long will my project take to complete?

If we are able to assist in your project, and depending on our current workload, typical turnaround time from a client's approval of the estimate and receipt of a 50% deposit for an initial concept or design for ads, brochures, logos and other print design work is 7 to 14 business days, web sites, depending on complexity, may take a little longer. Delivery of final artwork is dependent on client changes and approvals. Rush service may be available upon request at additional charge.

Do you come up with the concepts?

Certainly, we can come up a great concept, and we can write copy, but in all honesty, many of our clients use us for design services only. You'll save lots of time and money if you already have a general idea or concept of what you want, just supply us raw or final copy and/or direction. We'll get straight to work in designing your eye-catching print ad, brochure, logo or website.

Do you buy /reserve ad space in
publications, or do I do it?

We are not an "ad agency" nor a "media placement service." Your publication's sales rep. will send their ad size/file format specs to us. Final approved artwork will be sent to either you or direct to the publication.

I came up with a concept, wrote my own copy,
can you help get my work ready for printing?

If you or your marketing person/company has already come up with a great concept and all you need are files for your printing company, we can help. Supply what you have, and we'll prep and adjust your files as needed for your printer.

In what format will my job be created,
supplied to the publication/printer?

For page layouts we primarily use InDesign®, QuarkXpress®, or PageMaker®. For logos we use Illustrator® or CorelDraw®. And, for photo retouching we use Photoshop®. The final artwork that will go to press or the publication will be provided as "high resolution, press-ready" Adobe® Acrobat file(s) or Illustrator file(s), both of which are industry standard file formats. These files can be provided via download, uploaded via FTP to your publication or printing company, or burned to a CD or DVD and delivered via overnight (addl. shipping charge applies).

Do I get a copy of the final artwork?

We will e-mail you a link to the final version (i.e. to the same file that is provided to your publication or printing company). We can also provide you with the native file (i.e. QuarkXPress, InDesign, etc.) burned to a CD or DVD and delivered via overnight (addl. shipping charge applies). Due to font software licensing restrictions, ADstudio provides final artwork in Adobe® Acrobat format (fonts embedded for output purposes only) or Illustrator® format (fonts to outlines). For further information on font piracy please view the AIGA document at located at Adobe.com »

Who owns the rights to the final artwork?

Your final approved unmodified layout is yours, and ownership rights transfer to you upon payment and delivery. Ownership of copyright elements (i.e. stock photos, etc.) remain property of the copyright holder(s) and are used within the scopes of their licensing agreement(s). Note that if we send you more than one design option or concept to choose from, the rights only transfer to the final design you've chosen and purchased, not the additional concepts or designs, or a projects individual design elements, unless specified in writing.
